In-House PCB Through-Hole Plating without Chemicals
LPKF ProConduct In-House PCB Through-Hole Plating without Chemicals
Through-hole Plating of Printed Circuit Boards
For double-sided and multilayer printed circuit boards
LPKF ProConduct is handy, extremely fast and easy to use. All holes are plated through in a parallel process. This guarantees a safe, fast and temperature-resistant result.
Information
Processing
1. Milling the printed circuit board with an LPKF circuit board plotter
The first step is to mill the PCB with an LPKF circuit board plotter of your choice.
2. Applying the protective foil and drilling the through holes
Apply the protective film to the PCB surface and drill the through holes.
3. Applying the LPKF ProConduct paste
First place the printed circuit board on the vacuum table before applying the LPKF ProConduct Paste with the supplied squeegee to the protective film. The conductive paste is sucked through the vacuum table and the inner surfaces of the holes are coated. After the PCB has been turned, the process is repeated on the reverse side so that the holes are completely metallized.
4. Hardening of the paste
After the LPKF ProConduct paste has been applied, the protective film is removed and the circuit board is placed in the hot-air oven at 160 °C for 30 minutes to cure. Once the paste has cured and the PCB has cooled down, it can be assembled and tested immediately.
